This is a small program designed to apply MDU patches without having the full MDU present on your hard disk. It is primarily for distribution with WAD files so it contains no extra features. It is designed to be small and efficient. Don't install this program if you have MDU on your hard disk since it just duplicates one of the features implemented in MDU. This program has the same type and creator as MDU so it may load instead of MDU if you have both on your hard disk. It does not support all of the same file types as MDU. If it does load instead of MDU it won't be able to handle some types of file. The point is, don't expand the archive unless you are going to include it with a package of yours. I would assume that you won't want to include an archive inside an archive, so it's OK to distribute the program expanded (ie. without it's self extracting archive/installer) There are no documentation files to include if you are distributing MDU Patcher, so you only need to include the program. You may also distribute the full MDU instead providing you keep the package complete.
Tech Notes:
Currently only type 'X' scripts are supported
Termination blocks are type 'X'
Files can have any program name as creator in the header.
Memory requirements are actually much lower than what the memory allocation is set to.
